Martha's Vineyard

This newly replanted vineyard has been owned by Tom and Martha May since 1963; they've been very active in preserving the agricultural character of the Napa Valley.

It was Joe Heitz's (Heitz Wine Cellars) good fortune to begin a long-term relationship with Tom and Martha May in 1966. Heitz agreed to purchase Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Mays and to this day, Heitz Wine Cellars is the only producer of a Cabernet Sauvignon from Martha's Vineyard.

Time has proven that the wines made from Martha's Vineyard are special; some of the very finest Cabernets ever produced in the U.S. have emanated from this vineyard. Martha's Vineyard Cabernets have unique aromas and flavors-so much so that tasters can often identify "Martha's" at blind tastings.
